Vehixly (“Vehixly,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides tools to help users identify vehicles, analyze car photos using AI, and participate in a marketplace for buying and selling vehicles. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Vehixly mobile application (“App”). By using Vehixly, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Vehixly is operated by Vehixly Inc., a Delaware corporation.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
1.1 Information You Provide
- Email address (required for account creation)
- Vehicle photos you upload
- Messages exchanged between buyers and sellers (stored by Stream Chat, not by us)
- AI-generated insights (only stored if you save them to your Garage)
- Saved vehicle analyses (only if you choose to save them)
We do not collect: Name, Phone number, Profile photo, Payment card details (handled by Apple/Google).
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
- Location data (GPS or city-level, depending on device permissions)
- App usage analytics (screens visited, features used)
- Crash logs and performance data
We do not collect: Device model, OS version, Payment metadata.
1.3 Third-Party Services That Collect Data
Vehixly uses the following third-party services, which may collect data as part of their operation:
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
- AdMob — non-personalized ads
- Firebase Analytics — usage analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting
- Firebase (Firestore/Storage) — backend database and storage
- Google Vertex AI / Gemini — AI processing of vehicle photos
- Stream Chat — messaging infrastructure
These services collect data according to their own privacy policies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide core app functionality
- Analyze vehicle photos using AI
- Display marketplace listings
- Enable messaging between buyers and sellers
- Improve app performance and reliability
- Deliver non-personalized ads
- Process subscriptions and purchases
- Maintain account security
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
3. AI Processing
Vehixly uses Google Vertex AI (Gemini) to analyze vehicle photos and generate insights.
- Uploaded photos are only stored if you save the analysis to your Garage.
- AI-generated insights are only stored if you save them.
- Photos sent for analysis may be processed by Google's AI systems.
We do not use AI outputs to build user profiles.
4. Messaging
Vehixly uses Stream Chat to provide messaging between buyers and sellers.
- Messages are stored on Stream Chat's servers, not ours.
- Messages are encrypted in transit using Stream's standard security.
- Vehixly may manually review messages for moderation, safety, or legal compliance.
5. Children's Privacy
Vehixly is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.
6. Data Sharing
We may share information only in the following circumstances:
6.1 With Law Enforcement
We may share information in response to valid legal requests.
6.2 With Service Providers
We share data only with the third-party services listed above, solely to operate the app.
6.3 No Other Sharing
We do not share, sell, or rent your data to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
7. Data Storage & Security
Data is stored in Firebase on Google Cloud servers located in the United States.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Account Deletion
When you delete your account: All personal data is deleted immediately, including saved vehicles, analyses, and messages (messages are deleted according to Stream Chat's policies).
We do not retain data for fraud prevention or legal compliance unless required by law.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights under CCPA/CPRA, including access to your data, deletion of your data, and knowledge of what categories of data we collect.

10. Non-Personalized Ads
Vehixly uses AdMob to display ads. Ads are non-personalized and no behavioral tracking is used. AdMob may collect basic device and interaction data required for ad delivery.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
